Alexandra Olson, (ACSW #109569)

Therapist | Associate Clinical Social Worker

Who I Work With

I’m most passionate about working with teens, young adults, and millennials navigating big life changes—or simply adjusting to the everyday ups and downs. Life can feel overwhelming at times, but I believe it’s also full of moments worth celebrating. I especially enjoy helping clients explore who they are, what they value, and how to find balance during transitional seasons.

How I Help

My style is warm, friendly, approachable, and sprinkled with humor. I show up as my full, authentic self—human first, therapist second—because I believe that’s how genuine connections are built. Together, we’ll lean into your strengths, interests, and natural supports to create coping tools that actually fit your life. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, help you feel heard and understood, and walk alongside you as you grow, heal, and discover what this life is all about.

Modalities and Tools I Use

I primarily draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier behaviors, and develop practical coping strategies. I also incorporate elements of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) when helpful, including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Alongside these, I integrate strengths-based practices, solution-focused techniques, and creative, interest-based interventions to make sessions engaging and relevant. I recognize the power of humor, personal interests, and everyday joys in the healing process.

About Me

I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker who comes from a large, blended family—and I’ve often been “the therapist” for my loved ones long before I had the title. I’m unapologetically myself: silly, goofy, grounded, and wholly human. I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and celebrating both their challenges and their wins. I share life with my husband and our three dogs, and I’m happiest when I’m working out, spending time with friends and loved ones, traveling, going to concerts, shopping, or curled up in bed watching TV with my dogs (and husband) at my side. I believe in the beauty of finding joy, even in hard times, and I bring that mindset into the work I do every day. I’m happy you’re here.
